New Panera Bread Opens in Skokie

SKOKIE, IL - A drive-thru Panera Bread location opened last week in the Touhy Town Center just north of Village Crossing in Skokie.

The Panera occupies a 4,300-square-foot location at 5508 W. Touhy Ave. on its own, according to a report from the Skokie Review. A Goodwill thrift store and drive-thru ATM will soon open near the restaurant.

An employee at the new Skokie location told the Review that a line of customers extended out the front door between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. on opening day and that the store known for its healthy lunch offerings was even busier on Day 2.

Skokie has already been home to one Panera Bread location at 9611 Skokie Boulevard near the busy Skokie Blvd./Golf Road intersection.
