New Target Store Hiring In Skokie

A job fair is being held through Sunday to find employees for the retailer's soon-to-open small-format stores.

SKOKIE, IL — Target is hiring at its newest suburban locations, with job fairs announced this week in Skokie and Oak Park. The company said it intends to hire about 150 new employees for the two smaller-format locations, which are set to open their doors in October to make a total of eight smaller Target stores in Chicagoland.

Target has recently focused on opening customized smaller stores in denser urban areas, the company said. Next spring, a small-format Evanston location is scheduled to open its doors. By the end of 2019, the Minneapolis-based retailer plans to operate more than 130 small-format stores.

To participate in this week's job fairs, visit target's careers website to apply ahead of time and pre-schedule an interview time to speak with Target representatives, or show up in person between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Thursday through Sunday and fill out an application on the spot.(Get Patch real-time email alerts for the latest news for Skokie — or your community.
