Niles Township High Schools Calendar For 2019-20: First Day, More

SKOKIE, IL — The first day of classes at Niles North and Niles West High School is Aug. 13 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The board of Niles Township High School District 219 has approved the full 2019-20 calendar, which is available online to download in printable form.

The calendar includes important dates, such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here's a look at some of the most important dates parents and students should mark down immediately:

August

Aug. 12: No School — Institute Day
Aug. 13: First Day of School — All Students

September

Sept. 2: No School — Labor Day
Sept. 5: Open House
Sept. 6: Late Arrival (Classes Begin 10:10 a.m.)
Sept. 13: Late Start (Classes Begin 9:40 a.m.)

October

Oct. 7: Late Start
Oct. 14: No School — Indigenous Peoples Day
Oct. 24: Parent-Teacher Conference, Early Release (Dismissal at 2:11 p.m.)
Oct. 25: No School — Institute Day

November

Nov. 7: Late Start
Nov. 20: Parent-Teacher Conferences
Nov. 21: No School — Parent-Teacher Conferences
