Niles West Boys Swimming Coach Suspended for Year
Daniel Vander Jeugdt admitted to breaking a district rule.

SKOKIE, IL - Niles West High School boys swimming coach Daniel Vander Jeugdt was suspended for the entire season after admitting to breaking a rule.
The coach is expected to return for the 2017-18 season, but officials at the school are offering no details, according to a Skokie Review report.
The year-long suspension enacted by the Niles Township High School District 219 board of education does not affect Vander Jeugdt’s position as a physical welfare teacher at the school.

The boys swimming team will be coached by Jason Macejak, the girls swimming coach at the school, in the interim.
Vander Jeugdt has been at Niles West as a teacher and coach since 2000.
