Niles West Coach Charged With Sexually Assaulting Student
The special education paraprofessional and coach of girls soccer, boys and girls diving squads was arrested Wednesday in Chicago.

SKOKIE, IL — A Niles West High School coach was arrested Wednesday before being charged Friday in Chicago with criminal sexual assault after a two-month improper romantic relationship with a 17-year-old female student, prosecutors said.
Adrian Julio Lovera, 31, of the 4000 block of North Western, was the head coach of girls soccer and boys and girls diving at Niles West until District 219 administrators learned of the allegations on Jan. 23, according to a district spokesperson.
Lovera took the girl, who he coached on the diving team, to a Blackhawks game, a McDonalds, a concert in Ann Arbor, a friend's house and eventually his own apartment, where the two had sex, according to prosecutors.

Side note: Judge mentioned she went to Niles Township schools, defense attorney said he did too. (um, so did I!)
