Niles West High School Notified Of Possible Threat From Student
Officers investigating a Tuesday morning disturbance learned a student may have made a threat to his high school, police said.

SKOKIE, IL — Niles West High School administrators were notified of a possible threat from a student Tuesday, police said. Further investigation revealed the threat was unsubstantiated and "no imminent threat to the school existed," Skokie police said in a release.
Around 8:30 a.m., police were called to a disturbance involving the student in the 8200 block of Kilpatrick Avenue. The 17-year-old boy had left the scene, but officers on scene learned he may have made a threat to the high school, police said.
Skokie police said they immediately notified the Niles West administration as a precautionary measure. The teen was located by Skokie police a short time later and cited for disorderly conduct and referred to court. The charge was unrelated to any threat to District 219, police said.
