Niles West Jazz Bands Participate in New Orleans Festival

Recently, the Niles West Jazz Bands took a trip to New Orleans for the Jazz Education Network Conference. They participated in the Jenerations Jazz Festival with amazing clinicians and also served as the clinic demonstration band for Dr. Todd Kelly’s “All Ears” clinic. The “All Ears” clinic was performed in front of a standing room only crowd. The Jazz Ensemble visited L.H. Marrero Middle School in Jefferson Parish and experienced a unique exchange with those students; they performed with Niles West at the “All Ears” clinic. Through the generosity of a donor, West students also were fortunate to attend a Chicago Bulls vs. New Orleans Pelicans basketball game.
