Niles West News Recognized as Gold Medalist
NWN was honored for journalistic excellence from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association.
Niles West News (NWN) was honored for journalistic excellence from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA). NWN was recognized as a Gold Medalist, the highest honor, from the CSPA. Lisa Rossa is the NWN Sponsor.
The CSPA serves student journalists as follows: to make clear expression the standard for success; to maintain the student media for students, by students and containing news of students; to conduct contests and offer awards to make student media better than they were; and to recognize that journalism can be a means towards broader understanding of society and people.
Since 1925, more than 125,000 newspapers, magazines, and yearbooks have entered the annual critiques for evaluations and more than 340,000 delegates have attended the annual conventions, conferences and workshops.
