Featured Obituary:

On Monday, November 11, 2019, Geno Joseph Bagatti, loving husband and father of two sons, passed away at the age of 87.

Born on March 19, 1932 to parents John and Yole (Nardini) Bagatti, Geno was raised in Highwood, Illinois. Graduating from Highland Park High School, Geno attained the status of an Evans Scholar. He initially attended Northwestern University, enlisted with the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War from 1952 to 1954, and acquired the military rank of Sergeant. Geno then completed his collegiate studies at Lake Forest College. On October 4, 1958, Geno married Judith Alex – they enjoyed a 61-year marriage, raising two loving sons Michael and Richard. During his professional career, Geno became the Executive Vice President of NAII, a trade association representing the property and casualty insurance industry, in which his career spanned over 30 years. Geno resided in Lake Forest, Illinois for 61 years.

Geno was known for being a talented baseball player and having a strong passion for the game of golf, also being recognized as a valued member of the Highwood Historical Society. However, Geno’s greatest joy was delighting in family, adhering to the admired Italian maxim “La Familia e Tutto!” He was an immensely loving and supportive father to his two sons and rejoiced in the time spent with his grandchildren.
