Pair With Guns Charged After Fleeing Skokie Police
The two Chicago men tried to get away from cops on Dempster Street last week. One was wanted in connection with a Chicago homicide.

SKOKIE, IL - Police in Skokie captured two men, including one who was wanted for questioning in a homicide case in Chicago after a police foot chase last week.
Police stopped a car driven by Harvey Pitts, 22, of Chicago on Wednesday in the 5400 block of Dempster Street. Both Pitts an a passenger, Leroy Francis, 21, Chicago, fled on foot and were captured nearby.
Pitts was “wanted for homicide out of Chicago,” according to a Skokie police bulletin. He was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, fleeing and eluding a peace officer, obstructing/resisting a peace officer, possession of cannabis and driving with a revoked driver’s license.

Francis was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm obstructing/resisting a peace officer and a parole violation.
Two handguns were found in the car.
