Patient Sues Skokie Hospital 2 Years After Fall in Intensive Care Unit
The woman says NorthShore University HealthSystem was negligent in not providing proper care.

SKOKIE, IL - A woman who fell while being treated in the Intensive Care Unit at Skokie Hospital two years ago is suing Northshore University Healthsystem, the hospital’s parent.
Helen Bakus filed a lawsuit in Cook County Circuit Court earlier this month seeking $50,000 plus court costs from NorthShore, who she claims was negligent in not providing proper supervision in the ICU at the time of her fall, according to The Cook County Record.
The complaint states Bakus fell on May 15, 2014 and suffered severe injuries on her right arm.
