Police Officer, Firefighters Surprise Kids on Kilbourn

A handful of Skokie's emergency responders made an extra special stop on Saturday.

A group of Skokie firefighters stopped by a kids' block party over the weekend, driving their firetruck to sprinkle in an extra dose of fun.

The firefighters were showcased on the Skokie Police Department's Facebook page on Sunday after they pit stopped along Kilbourn Avenue on Saturday afternoon.

A police officer stopped by, too, according to the Facebook post, and handed out badges to each of the little ones.
