Police Union Reaches Deal With Village

Police personnel in Skokie will receive raises through 2019 as new four-year contract has been approved.

SKOKIE, IL - Police personnel in Skokie will receive average raises of 2 to 2.5 percent every six months until 2019 now that a contract extension has been agreed by both the Village Board and Local Lodge #68 of the Fraternal Order of Police.

The four-year contract is retroactive to May 1, 2015 and will expire in 2019, according to the Skokie Review. Unionized police in Skokie have been working without a contract for the last 11 months.

The deal was approved unanimously by the village and by a 77-1 vote by the union.
