SKOKIE, IL — A Skokie man faces a felony charge after allegedly posting an online video containing sexual images of a person without their consent. Naenb A. Mershah, 23, of the 9100 block of Keating Avenue was arrested Aug. 7 at 7 p.m. at a gas station in the 8000 block of Skokie Boulevard and charged with non-consensual dissemination of private sexual images, a class 4 felony, according to arrest reports.
Mershah is accused of posting an explicit video to Facebook on July 25, according to Skokie Police Officer Eric Swaback. The incident was reported to police on July 27. Swaback said a search warrant was obtained and Mershah was arrested after officers located him and established probable cause.
No other agencies were involved in the investigation, Swaback said. The offense of non-consensual dissemination of private sexual images in Illinois was created by the general assembly in 2014.
