Rivals New Speed Combine sponsored by Next College Student Athlete (NCSA) and Adidas

The Rivals New Speed Combine sponsored by Adidas and Next College Student Athlete (NCSA), the largest and most successful NCAA-compliant athletic recruiting network that matches student-athletes with college coaches, is coming to Lane Tech Prep High School (2501 W. Addison St.) on Saturday, May 27, 2017 beginning at 8:30amCT. The free Rivals New Speed Combine is open to all football players graduating in 2018-2021.

This is the only national football combine to be held this year where student athletes can get verified results in five key events. Players will be tested using the same equipment that’s used at the NFL National Combine in the key football testing areas: 40-yard dash, shuttle run, 3-cone drill, vertical jump and broad jump.

These results are critical to the college recruiting process. Izell Reese, former NFL player and now Executive VP at NCSA who is spearheading the events, wasn’t on the radar of any NFL team after college but due to elite combine numbers, he caught the attention of NFL teams and went on to have a seven year career in the NFL.

Athletes attending the combine will also receive a free online NCSA recruiting profile where they get the needed exposure to college coaches who can view their combine results, highlight videos, academic information and more. NCSA will also be there to answer college recruiting questions for parents, along with representatives from the NCAA and NAIA. Athletes will also get the chance to check out all the very latest football cleat designs and styles from Adidas.
