A 27-year-old Skokie resident was charged with misdemeanor public indecency after exposing himself to pedestrians.

SKOKIE, IL — A Skokie man faces a misdemeanor public indecency charge in connection with allegations that he exposed his genitalia to multiple women earlier this year, according to police.

Detectives identified Dan after looking up a partial license plate and finding that a car matching the description from a witness was registered to him at an address within a half-mile of the incident.
Although he was not identified by the victim in a photo lineup, he agreed to talk to police. During questioning, after initially claiming to have been changing clothes, he admitted to having exposed himself to the women, according to police.

Dan told detectives he was inspired by watching pornography in which men who expose themselves to women on the street later have consensual sex as a result, which is a fantasy of Dan's, according to police.
Dan turned himself in Nov. 10 at the Skokie Police Department, was released on bond and is due back in court Dec. 10.
