Skokie Aldi Holds Giveaways At Reopening Ceremony

One winner will receive free produce for a year at the grocery store's Thursday reopening.

SKOKIE, IL — As part of a $1.6 billion nationwide plan to upgrade its stores, the discount grocery store Aldi has completed remodeling on its Skokie location. It will be holding giveaways and ceremonies to celebrate this week.

The Skokie Aldi, located at 4833 Oakton Ave, will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:25 a.m. on Thursday.

There will also be product sampling, giveaways of eco-friendly bags, produce for a year and a Golden Ticket giveaway.

All of the contests will be held on June 29 only. The free produce for a year prize will be awarded in the form of ALDI Gift Cards and based on a household average of $10 per week spent on produce at ALDI. One winner per participating store. See store for sweepstakes rules and details.
