Skokie Among Slowest Growing Cities in U.S.: Study

Financial website Wallethub recently studied the fastest growing cities in the country, but it was on the wrong end of the list where one local town found itself.

Out of 515 cities ranked, Skokie came in at No. 508 in the fastest growing category, making it the eighth slowest growing city in the United States.

“In order to identify the cities that have expanded most rapidly in socioeconomic terms between 2008 and 2014, WalletHub compared 515 U.S. cities of varying sizes across 10 key metrics, ranging from population growth to unemployment rate decrease.”

Interestingly, the top six fastest growing cities on the list are all in Texas and 12 out of the top 15.
