Skokie Celebrates the start of the Illinois Bicentennial!

​To celebrate the beginning of the State of Illinois Bicentennial celebration, approximately 40 members of the community gathered in Skokie.

To celebrate the beginning of the State of Illinois Bicentennial celebration, approximately 40 members of the community gathered in front of Skokie Village Hall on December 4, 2017 to listen to 12 students from Lincoln Junior High read facts about the great State of Illinois and read the official State song as a poem. The students helped Mayor George Van Dusen raise the Bicentennial Flag. Skokie is #IllinoisProud!
