Skokie Cops Entice Drug Dealers to Report Competition
Facebook post offering to rid drug dealers of competition goes viral.

SKOKIE, IL - Police departments across the nation have tackled the social media age in different ways. Some ignore it, others use it often to relay serious information and a few see it as a way to share interesting news and tidbits that might not even be police related.
The Skokie Police Department, while mostly sticking to straight facts and funneling information on their Facebook page, sometimes uses it for a little fun.
Take a look at their post from 7 a.m. on Thursday. It’s an offer to any Skokie drug dealer looking to limit their competition. The Skokie PD can help with that apparently.

The department shared a flyer that read “ATTENTION DRUG DEALERS!!.”
“Is your drug dealing competition costing you money?”

“Would you like to eliminate the problem?”
“We can help!!!” “We can take your competition off the streets for FREE”
Sounds kind of like a Peter Francis Geraci commercial.
But the Skokie Police Department, while not being able to help you get out of debt, did leave spaces for drug dealers to list the name and addresses of their competitors, as well as their phone number and an envelope to send the information directly to the police.
The Facebook post contained no caption, just the flyer.
Really no explanation needed though. Fans got the joke, and shared it more than 3,000.
But maybe it wasn’t a joke. Maybe an actual arrest will come from it. After all, we have seen it all.
