Skokie Crime: $3500 Stolen From Purse, Snow Blower Snatched
The following arrest information was supplied by the Skokie Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Burglary
Someone broke the glass door on the southwest side of a garage on the 8200 block of Central Park Avenue, between July 5 at 4 p.m. and July 9 at 8:30 a.m. Once inside, the snow blower and several tools were removed.
Possession of Cannabis

Mohammad Qureshi, 18, of Skokie, was arrested on charges of possession of cannabis after a traffic stop in the 8300 block of Niles Center Road on July 9. According to police, the drugs were found in the vehicle.
Theft
Someone removed $3,500 from a purse, which was left in a storage bin in the basement area on the 4900 block of Kirk Street, between July 6 at 11:30 p.m. and July 9 at 2 p.m.

Someone removed a silver and black Mongoose bike from an unlocked basement on the 8900 block of Bronx Avenue between 6:00 and 7:30 a.m. July 11.
Unlawful use of a Driver's License
During a traffic stop, officers arrested Elizabeth Reetz, 20, of Chicago, for possession of a fictitious driver's license.
Disorderly Conduct
Someone placed a pack of fireworks on the victim's vehicle while it was parked in a driveway on the 5100 block of Conrad Street, at 2:50 a.m. July 11. No damage was observed.
Burglary of a Motor Vehicle
Someone smashed out the rear passenger window on a silver, 1999 Ford minivan, which was parked on the fourth floor of the Nordstrom parking garage at Old Orchard mall July 11. Removed from the vehicle were two bags containing personal papers, shoes, cosmetics and check account information.
