SKOKIE, IL — The following information comes from the Skokie Police Department as a record of police activity. Criminal charges represent merely accusations and can be dropped or reduced. Everyone is presumed innocent until their guilt is established beyond a reasonable doubt in court.
HOME BURGLARY
Someone forcibly broke in through a side door and stole two iPads from a home on the 5400 block of Arcadia Street, on April 3 between 10:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

SHOPLIFTING PARTNERSHIPS
At 10:44 a.m. on April, at the O'Reilly Auto Parts at 4902 Dempster Street, two men, described as African-American and between 210-230 pounds, stole an ignition box off a display rack and fled in a red GMC Yukon.

With the help of an accomplice keeping watch, a man, described as African-American and 20-25 years old stole 14 pairs of jeans, put them in a black garbage bag. Both subjects fled the Old Navy at 9435 Skokie Boulevard, on April 3, between 3:10 p.m. and 3:48 p.m..
TIRE/WHEEL THEFT
Someone removed all four tires from the victim's vehicle on the 8200 block of Harding Avenue, between March 29 at 8:00 p.m. and March 30 at 7:50 a.m.
Someone removed two alloy wheels with tires from a victim's vehicle on the 5200 block of Main Street, on April 5 between 8:20 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The vehicle was placed on two concrete blocks.
PANERA PICKPOCKET
Someone stole the victim's wallet from her purse as it was on the back of a chair at Panera Bread at 9600 Skokie Boulevard, on March 31 between 4:40 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
CAR BURGLARY
Someone broke into and ransacked the interior of a victim's car on the 5100 block of Suffield Terrace between April 1 at 4:00 p.m. and April 4 at 5:45 a.m..
On April 5 at 3:07 a.m., someone gained entry to a vehicle on the 4100 block of Greenwood Street and stole two pairs of prescription glasses.
Someone gained entry to a victim's vehicle on the 4300 block of Greenwood Street, between April 4 at 4:45 p.m. and April 5 at 9:30 a.m.. They ransacked the interior and stole a small jar containing approximately $20 in change.
Someone broke a window to a victim's vehicle on the 8000 block of Harding Avenue, between March 29 at 8:00 p.m. and March 30 at 7:50 a.m. then ransacked the interior.
After entering a victim's unlocked car, someone stole loose change on the 4900 block of Coyle Avenue on April 3 between 9:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Police said someone also stole a different vehicle belonging to the same victim.
IDENTITY THEFT
Someone used the victim's personal information to order Direct TV services without permission sometime between March 30 at 12:00 a.m. and April 5 at 2:15 p.m.
LOST PROPERTY THEFT
A man claimed someone stole his wallet at the AMC Theater at 7000 Carpenter Avenue, on March 30 between 9:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.. He told police someone used its contents to make an authorized purchase.
Someone stole a victim's mislaid iPhone 6 from Cocomero at 4849 Oakton Street, on April 3 between 7:50 a.m. and 7:55 a.m.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
An unidentified man, described 35 to 40 years old, Caucasian and 180-190 lbs., was witnessed damaging the intercom box located outside the main entrance doors on the 8800 block of Skokie Boulevard, on April 3 at 8:02 p.m.
VARIOUS ARRESTS
- Hilin Kouliana, 41, of the 9000 block Lamon Avenue was arrested for retail theft at the TJ Maxx 3337 Golf Road on March 30.
- Gus E. Frangos, 41, of the 8100 block of Knox Avenue, was arrested for violation of order of protection on the 5200 block of Washington Street on March 30.
- Maria M. Peterson, 19, of the 1800 block of Elmwood Avenue in Wilmette, was arrested for retail theft at the Sephora at 4999 Old Orchard Center on March 30.
- Jordan D. Henry, 23, of the 13000 block of South Wallace Street in Riverdale, was arrested for an in-state warrant on the 5100 block of Carol Street, on 04/03/2017
