Skokie Fire To Remember 9/11 Victims on 14th Anniversary

A bell ceremony and moment of silence will take place at all fire stations in the village.

The Skokie Fire Department will hold a moment of silence in remembrance of the victims of the September 11, 2001 tragedy on the 14th anniversary on Friday at all fire stations in the village.

The public is invited to attend the events, which will begin with a bell ceremony at 8:58 a.m. at the flag pole of the fire stations at 7424 Niles Center Road, 8157 Central Park Avenue and 9024 Gross Point Road, according to the Skokie Review.

At 8:59 a.m., a “last alarm” bell ceremony will take place followed by a minute of silence at 9 a.m.
