Skokie Hiring Police Dispatch Operator

Skokie, IL - The village of Skokie is hiring a communication operator to receive calls from both the 911 and regular phone system, according to a job opening memo from the village.

“They obtain necessary information, dispatch Fire, Police and EMS units as well as other field staff, and will enter data into a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system and will transmit appropriate responses,” according to the memo.

This is a 40-hour per week position that will pay anywhere between $56,736 and $72,415. The hired person will work all shifts on a rotation until final shifts are determined.
