Skokie Making ‘Substantial Efforts’ in Litter Control
But more has to be done with enforcement, committee member says.

Skokie, IL - Plan Commissioner Jeff Burman, a member of the village’s recently formed Litter Committee, said the village has been making “substantial efforts” in litter control, the Skokie Review reports.
"Most litter issues are found in residential areas and there are few complaints regarding litter," he said.
But he added that litter is not clearly defined, and that a disparity exists between the health division and property standards on how litter is enforced in the village.
