Skokie Man Jailed On Charge Of Threatening Judge On Social Media
"She is going to get it," he posted, according to prosecutors, along with a photo of a Cook County judge.

SKOKIE, IL — Prosecutors charged a Skokie man with a felony after they said he threatened a judge who "admonished" him for causing a disturbance in her courtroom last week. According to Assistant State's Attorney Jennifer Gates, police were told on Sunday the man had posted an photo of the judge and an address captioned with messages such as "she will be sorry" and "she is going to get it" on social media, the Daily Herald reported.
A 21-year-old Skokie man was arrested and charged with threatening a public official, a class 3 felony punishable by two to five years in prison. He appeared in court in Rolling Meadows on Tuesday, and his application for a Firearm Owners Identification Card was denied, according to the Daily Herald.
The charge stems from an incident last Thursday at the Second Municipal District Courthouse at 5600 Old Orchard Road, where the man and a friend caused some kind of disruption, prosecutors said. The man explained to police he posted the threats to Snapchat because he was angry at the judge for "disrespecting him in court," the Daily Herald reported.
