Skokie Man Recognized for Volunteer Work

Russ Hopkins awarded for service to military families.

A Skokie man who works tirelessly to connect military families with local resources was honored during national Volunteer Appreciation Week earlier this month.

Russ Hopkins received the Silver level President’s Volunteer Service Award from The President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation for 250-499 hours of service to National Military Family Association (NMFA) and military families.

Hopkins has been an Outreach Specialist since 2006. He has also helped raise awareness about NMFA’s resources.
