Skokie Man Shot And Killed Early Tuesday Morning
A man was shot and killed early Tuesday morning in Skokie, according to the police.
SKOKIE, IL — A 21-year-old man was shot and killed in Skokie early Tuesday morning, according to police.
The Skokie Police Department responded to a report of a person who had been shot in the area of LaCrosse Avenue and Grove Street at about 6:19 a.m. When officers arrived, they found the man had been shot multiple times.
Emergency personnel provided first aid at the scene before the man was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. He was declared dead at 7:36 a.m. as a result of his injuries, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner.

According to police, there is no current threat to the public, but no arrests have been made. The investigation is still active and the North Regional Violent Crimes Task Force (NORTAF) is assisting.
