Skokie Police Seeking Shooter After Gunfire

Police are looking for a suspect who shots were fired Tuesday night near Lawndale and Main.

SKOKIE, IL — Skokie police asked anyone with information about who fired multiple shots Tuesday evening in the area of Lawndale Avenue and Main Street. Police are investigating after they received a call shots had been fired in the area around 5:45 p.m., according to a news release.

There were no reported injuries, and police did not find the suspect at the scene. He was described as a black man wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt who left the area in a dark sedan, police said.

Police said the 21-year-old Skokie man who was shot at was uncooperative with police. There have been no arrests made in connection with the incident.
