Skokie Restaurant Ranked Among Best In Suburbs

Armando Gonzalez's Libertad, the Nuevo Latino casual spot on Lincoln Avenue makes the cut among the top 25 suburban eateries.

SKOKIE, IL — Eater Chicago recently prepared a map of the top 25 suburban restaurants in the area, and it ranked a casual Nuevo Latino spot in downtown Skokie as among the best.

Libertdad, 7931 Lincoln Ave., was opened six years ago by chef Armando Gonzales and describes itself as Skokie's first "Modern Latin" restaurant. Eater recommended Libertdad's veneras, asada and Sunday brunch.
