Skokie St. Patrick's Day Parade
Parade to be followed by afternoon party at Irish pub Sunday.

SKOKIE, IL — This weekend, St. Patrick's Day parades are taking place in northwest, south and downtown Chicago as well as in several suburbs, including Skokie.
Skokie's parade starts at Aw Yeah Comics (new location) 7925 Lincoln Avenue at 2:00 p.m. Sunday.
It will head down the sidewalks of Lincoln, led by a bagpiper, a drummer and mayor George Van Dusen.

A Princess, Queen, Prince and King of the parade will be crowned at the start, based on the most creative or festive great outfit. They will help lead the parade.
There will be prizes, music, dancing and free soft drinks following the parade at a party The Curragh at 8266 Lincoln Avenue, according to an announcement from the Downtown Skokie Alliance.
