Skokie Stabbing Sends Man To Hospital

Police said a man was found stabbed on Oakton Street Thursday afternoon.

SKOKIE, IL — Police said they are not looking for any suspects and there is no further risk to the public after a man was found stabbed Thursday in Skokie.

Around 3 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 4300 block of Oakton Street after getting a 911 call about a male victim of a stabbing, according to police. They arrived to find a man with multiple stab wounds. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The investigation into the circumstances of the stabbing remained in its its preliminary stages, and officers are conducting interviews, Thursday night, Skokie police said in a Thursday night statement.

It said police are "not looking for any additional persons and the neighborhood is not at risk."

Skokie police said one person is in custody and the Cook County State's Attorney's Office was reviewing possible felony charges. Police said additional information would be released Saturday.
