Skokie Village Administrators Likely to Get Raises in 2017

A 2.5 percent raise is on the table for most village administrators in Skokie.

SKOKIE, IL - Raises of 2.5 percent are likely awaiting village of Skokie administrators in 2017.

The Village Board is set to approve the proposed raises for top-line employees such as the village manager, corporation counsel and deputy village clerk, according to the Skokie Review.

If the raises are approved at the board’s Sept. 6 meeting, Village Manager John Lockerby’s annual salary will rise from $188,700 to $193,420. Corporation Counsel Michael Lorge will get $192,905 instead of $188,200 and Deputy Village Clerk Sylvia Luke will get an increase to $68,644 from $66,970.

The raises have already been built into the budget, according to the Review.

Raises for village administrators in Skokie have hovered around 2 percent per year since the recession. The pre-recession rate was usually in the ballpark of 3.5 percent.
