Skokie Will Get Evanston's Starbucks

Evanston’s loss will be Skokie’s gain. That’s the best way to look at it if you are a fan of Starbucks.

The Evanston Review reports the shop at Main Street and McCormick Boulevard in Evanston will soon close as another location is expected to pop up at the Mariano’s development site at Touhy Avenue and McCormick in Skokie. The moves are expected by the end of February.

Evanston Now points out that for Starbucks fans, the move is just leveling the playing field. The city recently saw its seventh Starbucks open at a former KFC across from the Evanston Plaza shopping center while Skokie only has three.
