Skokie Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident

The 63-year-old was hit Sunday by a white Ford Explorer in Rogers Park.

A Skokie woman was killed Sunday in a hit-and-run accident near the border of Evanston and Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood.

Cynthia Goldshner, 63, of the 9200 block of Skokie Boulevard was hit by a light-colored Ford Explorer near the intersection of Howard Street and Western Avenue at 6:52 p.m. and died two days later at Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, according to CBS-2-Chicago. An autopsy found she died of complications from injuries suffered in the crash, and her death was ruled an accident.

Police are searching for the vehicle, which never stopped. Anyone with information is asked to call the police Major Accident Investigation Unit at (312) 745-4521.
