Skokie's Alternate-Side Parking Ban Takes Effect

Due to snow, everyone must park on the even-numbered side of the street.

SKOKIE, IL — A parking ban on the side of the street that has odd-numbered addresses is in effect in Skokie until 6 p.m. due to snow accumulation. Village officials said alternate-side parking would be in effect starting at 8 a.m. Tuesday. During this period, all vehicles must park on the side of the street with even-numbered addresses.

The snow removal program is activated anytime there's a build up of two or more inches of snow on the pavement. The operation typically takes a minimum of two days, according to the village.

You can find more information at Skokie's automated snow hotline at 847-675-SNOW (7669), tune into 1660 AM or visit the village's website.
