St. Peter’s UCC Christmas Eve Services & Special Collection

Sunday Dec 24 at 10 AM and 10 PM - Worship Services ... From 12-2 PM - Collecting Baby Items for Food Pantry on Front Steps of the Church!

St. Peter’s UCC in Skokie wraps up its 150th Anniversary Celebration year with a special collection of baby items for the Niles Township Food Pantry on Christmas Eve. At our regular 10:00 am Worship Service on Sunday, December 24th, we will present baby items during the offertory that have been collected within the congregation throughout December. Following the service, members will stand outside on the front steps of the church and sing Christmas Carols from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm. During that time, donors can drop of baby items to help families in need in our community through the Food Pantry. We welcome people to join us for the singing and hot cocoa, which will also be on hand. St. Peter’s is accepting donations of diapers, wipes, formula, baby food, shampoo, and lotion - no toys or used clothing, please. Our focus is to provide much-needed supplies for parents with very young children.

We will finish Christmas Eve with our traditional late-night service of lessons and carols, including the sharing of Holy Communion. This year’s worship service will begin at 10:00 pm, and all are welcome. As a United Church of Christ congregation, our doors are open, and our table is set to receive all guests. We hope you will join us as we welcome Baby Jesus into our world once again.
