Staffer Stabbed By Co-Worker At Skokie Business: Police
A 33-year-old Chicago man faces a charge of attempted murder after stabbing a fellow employee during a "heated argument," police said.

SKOKIE, IL — A Chicago man was charged with attempted murder after stabbing a co-worker following an argument at a Skokie business last month, police said on Thursday. A call from emergency room staff at a local hospital led to the investigation and arrest of a man who worked at an unspecified business in Skokie. Criminal charges were filed July 26 in connection with a July 17 incident in the 4800 block of Greenwood Avenue, according to an Aug. 9 release from the Skokie Police Department.
Sabuhi Asgarov, 33, of the 2400 block of West Farragut Avenue in Chicago, has been ordered held without bail at Cook County Jail ahead of an Aug. 31 court appearance. In addition to attempted murder, he faces felony charges of aggravated battery and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
Police said hospital staff informed them a patient had reportedly been attacked with a knife while working at a local business. An investigation determined that Asgarov had been involved in a "heated argument" with the survivor of the stabbing, who was identified as his co-workers, police said.
