Subaru to Donate upto $15-million to charity. Benefits local Charities.
Subaru of America will donate $250 for every Subaru sold during the year-end clearance event. Evanston Subaru chooses two local charities.

Evanston Subaru in Skokie has picked two local charities as beneficiaries of their year-end sales promotion called, “Subaru’s Share the Love Sales Event”. Nationally Subaru of America will donate up to $15,000,000 to numerous charities based on new Subaru sales between November 20, 2014 and January 2, 2015.
Subaru’s year-end sales event, now its 6th year, has always featured five national charities as beneficiaries. The carmaker donates $250 for every Subaru sold during the year-end clearance event. This year, Subaru of America selected key Subaru dealerships from around the country, including Evanston Subaru in Skokie to pick two additional local charities to be eligible for the $250 donation.
Subaru of America chose Evanston Subaru in Skokie because of their high-volume of new Subaru sales, their reputation for community outreach and their commitment to customer service as Chicagoland’s only Stellar Care Award winner for 2012, 2013 and 2014.

Evanston Subaru in Skokie has chosen Ride2Recovery’s; Project HERO Chicago and the Community Animal Rescue Effort (CARE) as their choices to be eligible to receive a $250 donation, for each new Subaru sold, during the year-end event.
Project HERO Chicago is an organization that helps injured veterans overcome obstacles through cycling. Project HERO Chicago is a local extension of the national organization Ride2Recovery, whose goal is to provide training and rehabilitation to “healing heroes,” returning from war. Project HERO, started in 2010 at Walter Reed National Military Hospital with a proven and effective method to help Veterans overcome physical obstacles through group cycling.

The other local charity, Community Rescue Effort (CARE) began in 1987 to promote pet adoption and today is a thriving group of volunteers that places dogs and cats into foster homes in the communities of Evanston, Skokie, Wilmette, Kenilworth, Glenview, Northbrook, Northfield and parts of Chicago.
These two new local charities will join the other four national charities; Make a Wish, Meals on Wheels, National Park Foundation, and ASPCA as eligible to receive the $250 donation, for each vehicle sold, from Subaru of America. The Subaru customer decides which charity receives the donation.
Rob Paddor, owner of Evanston Subaru in Skokie says he is honored and proud that his store is being asked to add two local charities to the Share the Love program this year. Paddor says his dealership has held fundraisers for both Ride2Recovery; Project HERO Chicago and CARE Shelter and the decision to add these organizations was a natural extension of our ongoing community service.
Paddor and his dealership have a long and distinguished history of helping the military and their families. He is member of the Board of Directors of the USO of Illinois and have raised hundred of thousands of dollars for military charities.
Paddor is also a dog lover. He owns 3 dogs and has personally adopted animals from shelters and encouraged his dealership’s employees adopt from CARE. Since relocating his Subaru store from Evanston to Skokie the dealership has organized a dozen fundraisers for CARE including dog washes, photos with Santa and adopt-a-pet events.
