Thieves Cut 7 Catalytic Converters: Skokie Crime Reports

SKOKIE, IL — The following information comes from the Skokie Police Department as a record of those recently arrested and of incidents reported to the police. Readers are reminded that getting arrested does not mean that you are guilty, as criminal charges represent merely accusations that are often dropped or reduced.
INCIDENTS
THEFT
A representative of a music shop in the 4400 block of Oakton Street reported on May 15 that someone had never paid for or returned a musical instrument that had been rented between December 2017 and March 2018.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT
A Madison Street resident reported on May 15 that someone had threatened to stab them via social media sometime after May 11.
HACKING
A Skokie resident reported on May 16 that someone had hacked online profile of their business.

ASSAULT
A man holding a broom in the 4900 block of Hull Street reportedly threatened to kill a woman in the midst of an argument over money.
CATALYTIC CONVERTER THEFTS
Thieves used some kind of cutting tools to steal catalytic converters at the following times and locations:
- 5200 block of Oakton Street between 8:45 a.m. and 5:33 p.m. on May 16
- 5200 block of Oakton Street between 2:40 and 3 p.m. on May 16
- 5700 block of Oakton Street between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. May 16
- 5700 block of Oakton Street between 7:55 a.m. and 3:40 p.m. on May 16
- 8000 block of Elmwood Street between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. May 16
- 8200 block of Elmwood Street between 1:30 and 3:15 p.m. on May 16
- 4900 Searle Parkway between 1 and 4:30 p.m. on May 16
ARRESTS
Alberto Uriel Alonso, 21, of the 4100 block of Williamsburg Court in Glenview, was arrested at 10:29 a.m. on May 15 in the 7700 block of Keeler Avenue on an active in-state arrest warrant. He was also charged with resisting police and driving without a driver's license.
Michael Ezenwa, 41, of the 2000 block of West Lunt Avenue in Chicago, was arrested at 4:35 p.m. on May 15 in the 8000 block of Lincoln Avenue and charged with disorderly conduct.
Warren J. Brakes, 52, of the 7500 block of South Shore Drive in Chicago, was arrested at 1:37 p.m. on May 16 at the Macy's store at Old Orchard Shopping Center and charged with retail theft.
Erin R. Morgan, 23, of the 9200 block of Kenneth Avenue in Skokie, was arrested at 5:45 p.m. on May 16 in the 4800 block of Old Orchard Road and charged with criminal damage to property following a report of a battery.
John Paul French, 18, of the 5400 block of Reba Street in Morton Grove, was arrested at 4:38 p.m. on May 17 in the 5700 block of Old Orchard Road and charged with six counts of possession of a controlled substance, one count of possession of under 30 grams of marijuana and one court of possession of drug equipment.
Wence L. Edward, 27, of the 1700 block of West Estes Avenue in Chicago, was arrested at 9:27 p.m. on May 17 at the Walmart in the 3600 block of Touhy Avenue and charged with retail theft.
Jesus Antonio Lopez-Garcia, 32, of 2000 block of Grey Avenue in Evanston, was arrested at 10:32 p.m. on May 17 in the 8400 block of McCormick Boulevard and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration above 0.08 and driving without a driver's license.
Jerry W. Williams, 44, of the 4200 block of North Whipple Street in Chicago, was arrested at 2:07 p.m. on May 18 in the 5100 block of Touhy Avenue and charged with battery.
Kealan Hatter-Bell, 24, of the 9100 block of Meadowlark Drive in Indianapolis, was arrested at 12:50 p.m. on May 19 at the Old Orchard Shopping Center and charged with retail theft and possession of theft-related devices.
Sanjay J. Ellis, 29, of the 300 block of Custer Avenue in Evanston, was arrested at 6:14 p.m. on May 19 in the 5000 block of Fitch Avenue on an in-state warrant.
Steven T. Little, 26, of the 700 block of Seward Street in Evanston, was arrested at 6:14 p.m. on May 19 in the 5000 block of Fitch Avenue and charged with battery.
Anita Sims, 28, of the 900 block of Wilson Avenue in Chicago, was arrested shortly before 7 p.m. on May 19 and charged with retail theft from a grocery store in the 3300 block of Touhy Avenue.
Enrique Mora Morales, 21, of the 1100 block of Dewey Avenue in Evanston, was arrested at 1:02 a.m. on May 20 in the 4200 block of Howard Street and charged with possession of between 10 and 100 grams of cannabis, possession of drug equipment and driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license.
Raul Miranda, 19, of the 1200 block of West Cleveland Street in Evanston, was arrested at 12:52 a.m. on May 22 in the 7000 block of Carpenter Road and charged with resisting police.
Michael W. Von Dohren, 38, of the 7300 block of North Damen Avenue in Chicago, was arrested at 4:19 p.m. on May 22 in the 4900 block of Dempster Street on an active in-state arrest warrant and also charged with retail theft.
Eboni J. McGee, 25, of the 1400 block of Exposition Avenue in Aurora, was arrested at 9:23 p.m. on May 22 in the 9600 block of Crawford Avenue on an active in-state arrest warrant.
Stephanie J. Eibenberger, 29, of the 1000 block of West Granville Avenue in Chicago, was arrested at 6:13 p.m. on May 23 at the Walmart in the 3600 block of Touhy Avenue and charged with retail theft.
Selina C. Bunch, 38, of the 5100 block of North Western Avenue, was arrested at 6:13 p.m. on May 23 at the Walmart in the 3600 block of Touhy Avenue and charged with retail theft.
Calvino Sharrod Lofton, 27, of the 700 block of 131st Street in Chicago, was arrested at 5:40 p.m. on May 24 in the 9700 block of Skokie Boulevard and charged with identity theft and obstructing identification.
Jeremy Hartmann Orbach, 31, of the 8200 block of East Prairie Road in Skokie, was arrested at 6 p.m. on May 24 at the Skokie police station and charged with felony delivery of cannabis, possession of more than 100 grams of cannabis and possession of drug equipment.
