Turn Back Time

Check Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detectors too!

It is time to reset your clocks! This year, Daylight Savings Time officially ends on Sunday, November 4, 2018 when clocks are set back one hour at 2 a.m.

The Skokie Fire Department also reminds residents to change the batteries in smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and in all emergency accessory kits when they reset their clocks and make sure they are in working condition. Replace smoke alarms every 10 years for optimal effectiveness and follow the manufacturer’s recommendation regarding carbon monoxide detector replacement, as all models vary.
