The Village of Skokie Celebrates Car-Free Day

The Village of Skokie encourages participation in Skokie Car Free Day on Monday, September 22, 2014.

Skokie Car-Free Day will celebrate the idea of a less car-dependent future on Monday, September 22, 2014. Skokie has invested in this type of future by planning for and constructing new segments of the Skokie Valley Trail (www.skokie.org/CDBicyclePlan.cfm), and opening the new Oakton-Skokie Station and constructing wider sidewalks in Downtown Skokie.

Consider leaving your car at home for the day and walk, run, bike, bus, or train. Please visit www.activetrans.org for more information on year-round, car-free efforts in Chicagoland.
