STARLIGHT THEATRE LAUNCHES
NEW "THURSDAY NIGHT OUT!" SERIES
The Wilmette Park District's Starlight Theatre summer concert season has a new night to enjoy entertainment outdoors this year. The "Thursday Night Out!" series brings an earlier starting and ending time (6:30 - 8:00pm) to this popular free outdoor performance tradition.Aimed at those who want to enjoy an earlier evening, as well as families, the acts for "Thursday Night Out!" were chosen for their incredible ability to engage a wide range of ages.
For Thursday, June 12th, the performance will be of Canzonetta Youth String Chamber Orchestra let by Maestro Hilel Kagan.
The "Thursday Night Out!" series line-up is as follows:
6/12: Canzonetta*
6/26: Rio Bamba* (Brazilian Jazz with a Samba Lesson)
7/31: Rick Kelley: Don't Just Sit There!*
8/7: New Odyssey (3 guys & 30 instruments)*
8/14: Barefoot Hawaiians (Rainout date is August 21)
*In case of inclement weather, these performances will be held in the Theater of the Community Recreation Center, 3000 Glenview Rd, Wilmette, IL.
