Winter Outing to Starved Rock

Starved Rock State Park near Utica, Illinois is a winter wonderland with frozen waterfalls, sandstone bluffs topped with snow, and Bald Eagles feeding in the open waters of the Illinois River! We'll spend the day hiking the moderate to challenging park trails and enjoying the spectacular vistas, deep canyons, and ice-sculpted cascades. A satisfying brunch served in the rustic Starved Rock Lodge is included in the trip fee. Transportation is by van. Winter clothing and hiking boots are required. Depending upon weather conditions, the trails may be snow or ice covered. Ages 18+. $50 Skokie residents, $63 non-residents.  To register, call 847-677-7001.
