Wizard World Coming to St. Louis!
Wizard World, the largest pop culture even in the world, is coming to St. Louis and I will be there for all of the fun!
In two weeks, Wizard World is coming to St. Louis April 7-9 and I cannot wait. My friends and I are driving from Chicago for the event. While Wizard World will be in Chicago in August, we wanted to add another one to our cale
Of course, a headliner guest like Gene Simmons made the decision to attend a lot easier. Simmons is making a rare public appearance. One of the mainstays of Kiss, Simmons is sure to attract a huge amount of fans all by himself. If that isn’t enough (and it really is), he is also performing a concert at the Pageant, a rather intimate venue, on Saturday night. For Kiss fans, this is about as cool as it gets.
Wizard World isn’t just about Simmons though. Other big name celebrities include WWE superstar Randy Orton, Peter Tork and Micky Dolenz of the Monkees, James and Oliver Phelps, Nichelle Nichols, Michael Rooker, Ian Somerhalder and many more.

The fun goes beyond celebrities, too. Artist Alley is filled with creators such as J.T. Simmons, NEN, Stuart Sayger, Bruce Gerlach, Victor Dandridge and more. They will be selling their fine work. Some will be creating new stuff on site, including commissions. You are guaranteed to find new, beautiful artwork here.
This is also you chance to see and pose with the Munster Koach and Dragula, Speed Racer’s Mach 5, the DeLorean Time Machine, Rufus the “Supernatural” Impala and other popular vehicles. As a kid, I never imagined I’d see a real Mach 5, but in St. Louis, I’ll actually get a picture with it.

Even if all you like to do is people watch, Wizard World is the perfect place. Where else could you see Harley Quinn, Chewbacca and Negan? Much to my delight, there is usually at least one Aquaman cosplayer. With Simmons being the big celebrity, there will probably be many Kiss cosplayers, too.
All of the above action is just the main parts of Wizard World, but there is so much more. There will be special parties and events there and nearby. I’m sure I will run into old comic con friends and I will most likely make new friends. The whole Wizard World experience is like a huge family reunion.
One of the best parts of Wizard World is that you can go all out or you can just keep it simple. You are surrounded by a community of friends either way. It’s a crazy place of colorful characters and celebrities, but it is also a very welcoming and inclusive crowd.
This adds up to a fun-filled weekend in a great city. I’ve been looking forward to this for months and in eleven days, I will be immersing myself in pop culture greatness in the Gateway City.
