Niles West starts conference play next week with a string of difficult games. They start at Maine South next Friday. Maine South has a 2-2 record, but has outscored its last two opponents 91-0.
Then the Wolves face 2-1 New Trier, who beat Glenbrook North 33-10 last week, and two weeks from now take on 2-2 Glenbrook South. Glenbrook South has outscored its last two opponents 94-7.
"We get a dose of Maine South, New Trier and Glenbrook South right off the bat," Wolves head coach Scott Baum said. "What's nice about the game of football is that you get to get out there and practice and compete every day. They're all good football teams but hopefully our kids get better by playing against them."

REVENGE NOT TAKEN
The Wolves were hoping to get revenge on Glenbrook North for a 0-6 loss in last year's contest between the teams. The loss was a winnable game for the Niles West team that ended up with a 2-7 record last season.
