Woman, Ex Staged Home Invasion and Killed Husband's Dog: Sheriff
Sheriff's police say Mehwish Memon and her ex-boyfriend organized a series of crimes against her husband.

SKOKIE, IL - Sheriff's police in Cook County allege that a woman teamed up with her ex-boyfriend to stage a home invasion that injured the woman's husband and previously paired to kill the man's dog and plant a gun and marijuana in his vehicle.
That's all according to a report from the Cook County Sheriff's Office, who announced charges against Mehwish Memon and her ex-boyfriend, Syed Hassan of Chicago.
Police say they responded to a reported home invasion in the 9400 block of Bay Colony Drive in unincorporated Maine Township near Des Plaines and Park Ridge at 11:20 p.m. on Dec. 30 in which Memon and her 32-year-old husband were attacked by a man wearing a black ski mask. The man punched Memon in the face and beat the husband with a stick while bounding the pair with packaging tape.

But an investigation revealed Memon conspired with Hassan - the accused armed intruder - to commit the home invasion.
It was further revealed that Memon and Hassan were responsible for a Skokie Police Department investigation in which a deceased dog, a gun and marijuana were found in Memon's husband's vehicle.

Memon is accused of giving Hassan a key to her husband's vehicle and having Hassan shoot and kill the dog and place it there with the gun and marijuana.
A third recent incident involving the three resulted in a third charge against Memon and Hassan. Detectives say that on Dec. 16, Memon filed a false police report for domestic battery against her husband and that before Memon called 911 Hassan slashed the tires of the husband's vehicle.
Memon and Hassan were arrested and charged with home invasion, aggravated unlawful restraint and filing a false police report. They both appeared in court on Friday, when Memon’s total bond was set $200,000 and Hassan’s at $400,000.
