2 Boys Told to Fight By Adult at After-School Program, Mom Says

VIDEO: The brawl between the 11-year-old kids also was recorded and posted on social media.

CHICAGO, IL — Two Stagg Elementary School kids allegedly were encouraged to fight one another by the adult in charge during an after-school program, and the tussle was recorded and posted on social media.

One of the 11-year-old boys suffered a black eye and blurred vision from the brawl, according to NBC 5 Chicago.

The mother of the other boy in the fight told the TV station that her son began to cry when she asked him about the fight, saying, "Mommy, she made us fight."

The "she" the boy referred to is the adult who was overseeing the Stagg after-school program, the report stated. Although the program is at the school, it is supervised by the Union League Boys and Girls Club through Chicago Public Schools, the report added.

CPS told NBC 5 Chicago that the woman was not employed by the school system, but she was no longer associated with the Englewood neighborhood school. The boys and girls club did not have a statement prepared as of Wednesday night, the report added.
