2 Cops Injured When Driver Rams Into Squad Car

CHICAGO, IL - Two Chicago police officers were hospitalized with minor injuries early Sunday morning when their squad car was struck by another car. The officers were writing up a traffic crash report at the time, according to police.

The two officers were sitting in their police car around 2:20 a.m. in the 8600 block of Jeffrey Boulevard when they were hit.

Both officers were released from area hospitals. The driver of the car that hit them was issued traffic citations.
