Three people were shot overnight Friday in Auburn-Gresham, including a 40-year-old woman who was shot in the head, Chicago police said.

The woman was sitting in a parked vehicle with two other men in the 8300 block of South Ashland Avenue just after 1 a.m., when she was shot. She was taken in serious condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

A 30-year-old man was also transported to Christ Hospital in good condition with a gunshot wound to his left shoulder.

Another man, 40, was transported to U Chicago Medicine suffering a gunshot wound in his left hand, where he is listed in good condition.

No one is in custody and the shooting is being investigated by CPD Area One detectives. Anyone with information is asked to contact Area One at 312-747-8384 or leave an anonymous tip at CPDTips.
